Insurance built for British Columbia farmers.
Barns, machinery, livestock, crop and liability — one part of a full-service Property & Casualty brokerage. From Fraser Valley dairy and berry growers to Interior ranches and hobby acreages.
A growing agriculture practice inside a full-service P&C brokerage.
Countyline is an independent Property & Casualty brokerage writing personal, commercial and transportation lines across British Columbia — and we are actively building out our farm and agriculture capability. We're headquartered in the Lower Mainland, minutes from the Fraser Valley's dairy, poultry and berry belt, and we work with producers the way a farm operates: seasonally, practically, and in person.
Farm-first underwriting conversations
We gather barn construction, heating, wiring, herd counts, equipment schedules and crop values up front, so submissions arrive complete and underwriters can price accurately the first time.
Loss prevention on the yard
Electrical inspections, thermal scans, dust and manure-gas controls, hay moisture monitoring, and fire separation between barn and shop — we raise these before renewal, not after a loss.
Long-term producer relationships
Farms pass between generations. We build files that survive transitions: succession changes, added quota, new outbuildings, and expanding acreage.
What a Countyline farm package covers.
Every operation is different. These are the building blocks we assemble into a farm program.
Farm Buildings & Dwellings
Farmhouse, barns, shops, machine sheds, greenhouses, riding arenas and grain storage on replacement cost or actual cash value terms.
Machinery & Equipment
Tractors, harvesters, balers, feed systems, irrigation, ATVs and mobile equipment — scheduled or blanket, on-farm and in transit.
Livestock
Dairy and beef herds, poultry, equine, and specialty livestock — mortality, transit and named-peril options.
Crop, Feed & Produce
Stored crop, hay, feed and produce in barns and outbuildings, plus greenhouse plant stock and grow-media exposures.
Farm Liability
Premises and operations liability, custom farming, farmers' market and agri-tourism liability, and products liability for farm-gate sales.
Water, Sewer & Equipment Breakdown
Overland water, sewer backup, freezing, and equipment breakdown covering milking systems, refrigeration and climate controls.
Fire & Business Interruption
Barn and shop fire, extra expense, loss of income after a shutdown, and the cost of relocating or replacing livestock housing.
Farm Employees & Auto
Employer liability considerations, seasonal labour exposures, and commercial auto for farm trucks and produce delivery.

Partner With Usservice@clriskservices.comFarm insurance questions we hear most.
What does a BC farm insurance package usually include?
Most farm packages combine farm dwelling and outbuildings, farm contents and stored crop, machinery and mobile equipment, livestock, farm liability, and business interruption. We build the package around your actual operation rather than a generic template.
Do you insure hobby farms and small acreages?
Yes. Many Fraser Valley and Interior properties are acreages with a few animals, outbuildings, and equipment. Those exposures sit outside a standard homeowner policy, so we place them on a farm form.
Is livestock covered for disease or transit?
Livestock can be insured on a named-peril or broader basis depending on the market and species, including mortality from fire, lightning, electrocution, accidental shooting, and transit. We review the wording with you line by line.
What about farm equipment used off the farm?
Tractors, combines, feed trucks, and mobile machinery can be scheduled or blanket-insured, with liability extensions for road use and custom work performed for neighbouring operations.
Do you handle agri-business and food processing risks?
Yes — greenhouses, packing sheds, cold storage, on-farm retail, agri-tourism, and product recall exposures are all part of the conversation for growing BC operations.
Let's insure your farm properly.
Send us your operation details — acreage, buildings, herd or crop, and equipment — and we'll come back with a farm program built around it.
